Support Groups are open to anyone and are free of charge.

Camp Rainbows

A weekend or day long camping experience for children dealing with grief due to the loss of a significant person in their lives.

Rainbows

A six-week support group offered quarterly for children in the community who have lost a significant person in their lives regardless of the circumstance of the loss.

TAG(Teen Age Grief)

A support group for adolescents who have experienced the death of a loved one conducted in the school system quarterly and the Hospice Annette Cash Whitaker Center of Living.

Promise

This is a grief support group for parents who have lost an adult child. The group meets four weeks consecutively. Participants will have the opportunity to share feelings and find support as they explore ways to deal with grief.

Hope

This is a support group for any adult who has lost a loved one. This group meets four weeks consecutively. Participants receive educational materials and have the opportunity to share feelings and find support as they explore ways to deal with grief.

GRACE

The GRACE support group for caregivers is offered the third Friday of each month at the Rutherford County Senior Center (Callahan Koone Road in Spindale) from 1:00 PM-2:30 PM, and on the first Tuesday of each month at Rutherford LifeCare (adult day care facility at 859 Thunder Road in Spindale) from 4:00 PM-5:30 PM. Free adult day care services are available at LifeCare for the Tuesday evening meetings. GRACE support group meetings are for anyone in the community caring for a loved one with a long term illness. Widow and Widower's Lunch Bunch

A monthly support group, educational session and opportunity for fellowship offered the third Friday of each month at the Carolina Event and Conference Center from 11:30 am until 1 pm for people who have lost a spouse.

On My Own

Quarterly educational program for persons who are alone after the loss of a loved one. Varied topics/speakers. Date TBA. For information, contact Sheila Cain at 245-0095.

Kids on the Block Puppet Show

Pilot Club members conduct a puppet show helping children and adults deal with grief and loss.
